John Malone has a portfolio that includes stakes in Discovery Communications, Liberty Media Corp., Charter Communications and Liberty Global. In total, his investments include over 100 companies with an estimated market value of $40 billion.
He is called “Darth Vader” for his aggressive acquisition tactics and his stake in DirecTV.
2. Silas Chou
Net worth: $3.8 billion
Silas Chou and Michael Kwok co-founded the apparel company Michael Kors. In 2011, they took the company public in one of the most successful IPOs of the year. The company is now worth $11 billion.
Chou is also an investor in the Chinese e-commerce company Alibaba and the Indian e-commerce company Flipkart.
3. Louis Bacon
Net worth: $1.6 billion
Louis Bacon is the founder of the hedge fund Moore Capital Management. He is known for his contrarian investing style and his ability to make money in both up and down markets.
His hedge fund has been one of the best performing hedge funds over the last 25 years.
4. Jerry Jones

Jerry Jones is the owner of the Dallas Cowboys. He bought the team in 1989 for $140 million. Today, the team is worth an estimated $4 billion.

Robert Kraft is the owner of the New England Patriots. He bought the team in 1994 for $172 million. Today, the team is worth an estimated $3.2 billion.
